Depends on what exam you're preparing for.I've tried out both the resources myself, at least enough to know what they hold good for.Lecturio: I feel these aren't exam oriented. Not USMLE, and certianly not NEET/ AIIMS PG. The professionals here explain concepts beautifully and in a extremely concise BUT complete fashion. They make you understand everything in a way that your medical college simply never could, but it doesn't segragate the more important topics from the other less important ones, for any entrance test. It's a concise video textbook of a subject that can make you understand everything.PrepLadder: Run by top of their field doctors of India. Extremely NEET and AIIMS PG oriented. The notes are good, but I feel a little too concise, so much so that they miss out on concepts. The explanations are good in some subjects while better or worse in others, and you really do need to a previously existing knowledge base to fully utilise PrepLadder.
Think of PrepLadder as review lectures for a quick revision of the important and high yield topics for Indian PG entrance tests. Some additional points:
Marrow has a better Q-Bank than PrepLadder.Kaplan is the better USMLE oriented resource.PG entrances, unlike UG entrances are tests that have a very vast syllabus. You can fully cover the 98 lessons of NEET UG, but not the 19 subject for the PG entrance test. You absolutely do need guidance to know what's high yield and what's not. So DAMS/MARROW/PREPLADDER do become a necessity. If you're looking for video lectures to build concepts during your MBBS and not preprare for an entrance test, I'd say go with lecturio, just use them judiciously and not blindly.I hear first aid for USMLE is a good resource for AIIMS PG, because both of them are more clinically oriented.Foreign resources will not prepare you for the image based question that form a major bulk of the Indian PG entrance exams. There are several YouTube channels like Ninja nerd science, osmosis, DirtyUSMLE that are really really good! Please do check them out! This was just my take, do venture and explore yourself!P.S. Not sure if I should be including this point in my answer, but you can easily find Lecturio videos on torrents and at least the notes from PrepLadder on telegram channels. So try your luck with them before buying, because Lord knows these resources cost a fortune!
