My father wanted to be a doctor; yet, he passed out at the sight of blood. When I fell and cut the bridge of my nose when I was 2, my mother had to find a neighbor to drive her to the hospital. My father was out as soon as he saw my bloody little face. He changed his major to accounting and later became the VP of the Texas Hospital Association. However, when he was a hospital administrator, he had to have an office that did not have a view of the emergency room entrance.
