No! Being a Doctor is not funny!
The days are long gone when Doctors were highly respected by the society, nowadays, they are the most vulnerable lot , a soft target to be harassed.
The studying period ( it takes about a decade of your life) is long and very tedious process. Later on if you are in government service or in a hospital, the duty hours are long and unpredictable.
If you are in private practice, then also you have a very busy schedule.
Also, you have to keep your self updated with the latest advances and research and also legally correct to avoid being harassed in consumer court litigations.
Last but not the least, patient comes to you when he is in pain, discomfort, trouble etc., if you succeed in curing him then all the credit goes to God, but if something goes wrong, them you shall face the wrath.
Even in social events, people will come to you to seek advice ( free ,of course), if you try to stall them you will be called names.
