Not me at least! Here is a short excerpt from my friend’s journey of taking the USMLE Step 1 exam. She obtained the Kaplan course after paying a hefty amount of a little over 2 lakh rupees! The subscription had a validity of 7 months but to her misfortune, two months after subscribing to this course, she wasn’t feeling well and upon consulting with a doctor, she was reported that she had a concussion and so she underwent treatment. For the subsequent 4 months, she was not in a state to study through Kaplan. In fact, she was discharged one month before the expiry of her subscription but still she hadn’t reached to a level of mental state where she could start studying. So she contacted to one of the counselors of Kaplan. She reported the issue but all went in vain. She was left with nothing but only one option which is to spend an amount of approximately 5,000 INR every week to continue with the services.Such are the policies of an international brand like Kaplan!Later on, I suggested her the coaching through which I am currently preparing from.Although she didn’t agree to my choice in the first place yet somehow agreed and joined me for my online lecture. On attending the very first lecture, she was bewildered as she had just witnessed profound faculties like Dr. Mary Ruebush and Dr. Steven Daugherty teaching on a live online platform. Moreover, she discovered a lot of things regarding the concept in the very first lecture that the Kaplan’s videos didn’t comprise (Cons of an outdated material) and she thereby found that information helpful. Not merely recorded lectures like that of Kaplan, one’s getting to interact with these faculties live which is a big thing in this day and age. This turned out to be a green signal for her and she quickly registered for the course.Well, the coaching I am talking about is Moksh USMLE coaching.
