Are you looking for the Genshin Impact tiers? There are 59 Genshin Impact characters now available, so there are plenty of options for your ideal team. Finding your favorite can be difficult though, as there are so many various weapons, components, skills, boost bonuses, and constellation upgrades. In the game, players can prepare an adequate number of Genshin Impact Genesis Crystals.
Do not be discouraged from lowering a character banner because of the character's placement on our Genshin Impact tier list. Base stats and fundamental skills are significant, but a character's worth also depends on personal playstyle, the assortment of weapons and artifacts, and the make-up of the team. However, you could struggle to complete some of the more difficult Spiral Abyss floors if your favorite Genshin Impact characters are Tier C or lower. Don't worry too much if your favorite character is on a lower tier; you can still make it work with our suggested Genshin Impact build.
Generally speaking, being at a high level means that the character is the best Genshin Impact character of their kind, is not too difficult to build, and performs well regardless of teammates. Being at a lower tier means that there are better options, or that a character requires a very specific build or team to shine. Note that characters are not ranked in their own tiers, by the way, let's see how our characters rank in the Genshin Impact tier list.
Genshin Impact Level List
SS class
Ayaka
The Genshin Impact 2.0 update introduced Cryo Sword user Ayaka to the game. A lot of people had high expectations for this role, and it can be said that she has lived up to it. While she's not the highest damage output in the game, Ayaka can be built as a DPS character, but she can also take on a secondary DPS role if necessary.
Kazuha
Kazuha was the first Lightning character to join the game, and he has impressed the Genshin Impact community with his incredible versatility. Built using the best Kazuha, this Anemo Sword character can deal a ton of damage all by himself. If you can put him in a team composition that utilizes elemental reactions, the amount of damage you can rack up is truly staggering.
Zhongli
After the 1.3 update, Zhongli finally deserves his five-star rating. The buffs to Geo skills and Geo Elemental Resonance greatly increase Zhongli's damage output. Not only is Zhongli able to deal damage comparable to an S-tier character, but his Emerald Shield ability is very effective, allowing him to play as a DPS and support hybrid role. Give our Genshin Impact Zhongli build a look and see how good he is now.
Hu Tao
This Polearm and Pyro character can pack quite a punch when set up correctly. Fans are expecting another 5-star Pyro character to be on the same level as Diluc, and while Hu Tao may not be able to deal as much damage with AoE attacks, her single-target damage output makes her very valuable.
S class
Xiao
As the only Anemo character to focus entirely on DPS, Xiao excels at hitting multiple enemies at once. He can easily trigger an elemental reaction vortex with many characters, allowing Shaw to add to most rosters. Check out our build of Genshin Impact Xiao to see how to get the most out of his elemental skills.
Albedo
Unlike other Geo characters in Genshin Impact, Albedo can continuously trigger highly damaging Geo-infused elemental reactions. His elemental skills will produce a large-scale earth explosion effect, and the cooldown time of Albedo's elemental skills is very short, only four seconds.
Clay
This Bombardment Specialist has a high base attack, extra boosts to Pyro damage, and catalysts. As such, she is easy to build for maximum Pyro damage. Check out our Genshin Impact Klee build to see how. Keri's main downside is that finding the right distance between her and her enemies can be tricky.
