I haven't taken the test but i plan on taking step 1 in 3rd year of med schooling.
I think that it will be perfect as one got time in 3rd year due to less subjects for prep of step 1 and also it feels like working on track and giving the step 2 during internship.
This will keep you close to your subjects as giving step 1 in 3rd year will be suitable as you will just be finished with your subjects for step 1 examination and same for step 2 and you wont be needed to go back and study for the subjects after you have done with your final year and you will be having a lot of load with your internship.
And also if you plan on giving all the exams together you will face a huge load of the fees if you are from a mediocre family as mine…if not then voila.
And the rest is that everyone will have their own opinions and so might be you..but this seems feasible i think…bdw ALL THE BEST for your test.
PEACE.

The students generally appear for USMLE Step 1 after 3rd year of their MBBS and Step 2 CK during their internship phase. Later on, you need to get to the US to appear for the rest of the exams. Keeping that in mind, it will take you around 1-2 years after the completion of your MBBS to clear all the USMLE Steps.
