For students studying MBBS under KUHS University if you fail first year , there is supplementary exams after around 3to4 months ,after passing supplementary exams ,those students will be in a seperate batch called additional batch they cant join their collegues they will be called regular batch(additional batch students will be around 6 months behind regular batch
)
But in some universities ,the failed students are allowed to write a supplementary exam within 1 month of the results and if they pass that they can join regular batch ,in case they fail they have to write next exam next year
