You need at least 35% marks to be eligible to sit in the university marks and the remaining 15% (as the passing percentage is 50% in medical) you need to clear in the university exams.
Let me elaborate when I was in the second year, our all the internal exams marks used to be converted out of 40 (20 theory and 20 practicals). We need to score at least 14 (7 in each head or cumulative) to be eligible to sit for the university. Remaining 6 marks (in case the score is 14), we need to clear in the university. Also, each head needs to be 10. If we have 8 in theory and 6 in practicals then we need to clear 2 in theory and 4 in practicals. More marks in internal exams, suppose you are scoring 38/ 40, used to increase your percentage.
