Fortnite Creative v19.30 Update Patch
Game mode select screen removed
With this week's v19.30 update, Epic Games deleted the initial game screen (which appeared on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC), which allowed players to choose between three modes: Save the World, Battle Royale, and Creative. You'll now be transported immediately to the Lobby, where you'll be able to join in the fun and discover Fortnite!
What does this indicate for the future of Creative Industries? You may now locate Creative by going to the "Discover" screen, which can be accessed by clicking on the "CHANGE" icon above the word "PLAY!" Read the blog post Load into the Lobby in Fortnite - Game Mode Select Screen Removed to find out how to do this.
Fire volume device added
Your requests for more control over the flames following the introduction of Fire into Creative in the version 19.20 update have been answered, with the release of the Fire Volume being the first iteration of that control. You can use the Fire Volume to override island-wide fire settings in a specific area, as well as to initiate or extinguish fires within the volume, which is controlled by Channels.
Prop manipulator updated
In the Prop Manipulator, Epic has added new features that allow you to make any prop into a resource node for any sort of resource. You have the option of selecting the type of resource that will be granted when the prop is hit – as well as the possibility of adding your own objects to the device. (Is there a rock that produces mushrooms when you strike it? (After all, why not?) Also available are options for restocking the node with resources after a delay or gradually over time.
HUD Controller updated
Team and Class support has been added to the HUD controller, allowing you to design separate HUD setups for each individual Team and Class, which is excellent for asymmetric game styles and contextual HUD layouts, respectively. Do you want to conceal the HUD from players who are in a specified area? You may now assign everyone in a given area to a specific Class and then update the HUD only for them, keeping the rest of the players in the game unaffected by your actions.
Teleporters can now be linked together, enabling for two-way travel to be accomplished with ease. The combination of this feature plus randomly generated teleport targets allows for the creation of maps that are unique each time they are visited. The map layout is random when a player first enters the teleporter, but remains constant for the remainder of the game (or until the link is broken via Channels).
